I thought I should post the live tweets from a management we had in the middle of last year. It gives a deep insight into the management of Inepd International and I thought it might be useful for other organisation and development and humanitarian professionals.
Inepd International Management Meeting (Live Tweets from last year)
Thought I would tweet through our Senior Management meeting here at Inepd. People are often interested to know how the discusions play out.
Just starting the meeting now. Catering is Gourmet sandwiches from Dante's Cafe. They do a great grilled taleggio and tomato sandwich.
Now what is everyone wearing. Evonne(Program Director) is wearing a beautiful emerald Salwar kameez with embroided flat sandles and a filigri bracelets.
Vincent(Emergencies Director) is wearing knee socks, sandles and possibly an Inepd T-Shirt from 1995 covered by a used to be white heavily stained Inepd waistcoat with 20-30 empty pockets. He is alreadystuck into the sandwiches.
Vicky(HR) is wearing a scarlet double breasted jacket with matching skirt cut to the knee and kitten heels.
Kelvin the Executive Director is wearing a collarless oyster silk dress shirt with a deep chocolate Armani.
Quick updates from all the managers. Vincent from Emergencies first.
Vincent(Emergencies) says it has been a quiet week not many emergencies so have been working a lot on disaster preparedeness.
Human Resources next. Vicky gives lots of security updates, didn't know we worked in these places.
Vincent confirms we don't work in these places either but still good to know. Relief register still going strong lots of great people now onboard.
Kelvin our execuitive director gives us an update on his last field visit to Cambodia. Had a great time and really inspired by the Inepd team out there.
Programs Director Evonne said they had some great Real Time end of program evaluations leading upto the South Asia Poverty Development workshop.
Here I go Markeing and communciations. Update on our Inepd Campaigns with Attitude or Inepditude Campaigns. Each campaign launch has talk and discussion. Launch list.

Campaign Launch 4: "HIV or Aids is a Disease" has been postponed till next week due to the unavailability of Phil Collins this week.
We are also now developing the Christmas Gift products. We will have along with the gift cards for a friend that really go to a poor person also E-Cards.
We expect the E-Cards to be a great success even less effort required than a normal present.
Ok now to the Agenda. Item 1: Reduced Income and Program Cuts.
Vincent offers a cut to the Emergency budget. Since the economic crisis the E-Team has been responding to every second emergency.
Vincent feels that because of the extra breathing space the E-Team is more relaxed and more effective when they eventually do respond.
He also said that we can save a lot of travel costs by supporting Inepd affiliates and keeping the 10% administration costs.
Evonne goes next. She feels that the lives of the poor come first and if anywhere should be cut then the headquarters should feel the pain first.
Kelvin asks what is the largest department. Vicky(HR) says Programs then HR.
Evonne also adds that if any program has to be cut the South American programs should be cut as there have been questions over their effectriveness.
Hold on a second!!!!! I am going to respond here and give the tweet over to Samantha. Forgot to mention her before she is Kelvins PA and minute taker.
Hi everyone I'm Samantha. Mercedes asked me to Tweet for a few minutes it's the first time I have tweeted and I am really looking forward.......
Mercedes points out that the guinea pig Christmas gifts brought in 30% of our total income last year.
She says that if we had added the llamas like she insisted we would have had an additional 15% income.
Mercedes makes an impassioned plea for the poor Bolivian and Peruvian children that could go hungry at night if the program closes.
Now giving the tweets back to Mercedes, See you.
Hoi back again.
Bit of discussion and looks like the South American program has been saved.
Vincent's suggestions taken on board and will look at channeling more funds to affiliates with some more belt tightening for the field programs.
One more item: Climate Change Program and Marketing links
Kelvin asks if we can add a Climate Change Christmas gift.
Vicky suggests a Coral Atoll.
Evonne suggests Kirribatti and Tuvalu
I say that we had looked at this but there maybe some legal implications in selling the islands as cards and e-cards.
Kelvin asks if we have programs there. Evonne thinks not. She will check.
I suggest just selling generic no-name atolls.
Agreed, Kelvin asks Evonne to find some pacific type program to attach the atolls to for next week.
Well that's it, fairly typical meeting and some good results today. Now off to our Management lunch at Decadence just around the corner. Vincent finishes the last sandwich.
