Everywhere I go, I see bad news. Is the world really as bad as the news outlets make it out to be? Or am I just looking in the wrong direction, focusing on just one part of the picture?

I haven't been very active here in a while... but lately I've been wanting to connect with people who are hopeful, optimistic, in a very practical way, about the future of the world.

I must admit that right now, I am feeling very... daunted by all the problems that we face. I'm probably not doing that much about it other than trying my best to be nice to all people and give a friendly and encouraging word. However, I am certain that forming part of a community of people committed to positive change will also change my outlook and, very probably, also my results.

So... is anybody out there?
